A place to meet, in Shoreditch

We want LIFT Coffee to be a positive place for young people: a hip, aesthetic setting to meet other people, and a home for social gatherings and events.

We're proud of how fast we've become a key part of the Shoreditch community.

It is a small room, so we'd rather tell you plainly before you come.

  • I was in Shoreditch one morning and desperately in need of a coffee. Somehow, I completely forgot about it while walking around, until I turned onto Rivington Street and was literally stopped in my tracks by the most delicious, fruity coffee smell! I followed my nose and ended up in LIFT. 😂 I ordered a latte and watched Shania, the barista, pour the milk with such incredible focus and precision that I started wondering what on earth she was doing to my coffee! She was trying to draw an unicorn (apparently!), while I insisted it looked more like a primantis bug! and that little exchange genuinely made my morning. 😂 Shania was absolutely hilarious, and the intense concentration on her face while creating my “unicorn/primantis” had me laughing to myself. She had such a lovely personality and brought so much warmth to what could have simply been a quick coffee stop. And the coffee? SO good! Really, really tasty! exactly the kind of coffee that makes you stop and appreciate it. I’m only sorry I don’t live closer, because I would absolutely make LIFT my regular. Great coffee, lovely atmosphere, and a barista who genuinely made my day. ❤️☕️

  • LIFT Coffee in Shoreditch is very small, with around 16 seats in total, but the atmosphere is lovely and quiet. You can hear people chatting, but it’s still calm enough to really focus, which was perfect for me since I needed to get some laptop work done. The bench seats by the windows are especially nice, and I managed to stay for a few good hours and be very productive. They seem to specialise in hand pour filter coffee, with those options priced around £8 to £9. I went for a black batch brew instead, which was £3.70 to sit in, and it was great. A couple of small things to note. There are no coat hooks anywhere, so jackets end up taking up chair space, which feels a bit awkward in such a small cafe. The wifi works, but it takes a little patience to connect. On the plus side, they do have a customer toilet at the back, which I always appreciate. Overall, a really nice little spot if you are looking for a quiet place to enjoy good coffee and get some work done.

  • There are 6 coffee shops within a 2 minute walk of my office. I will make the extra effort to walk to LIFT because the coffee quality, desserts and service are that much better. Each time the barista gives me a different latte art!

  • Friendly Service. What we got: Americano, cold with ice was tasty, Matcha Latte (oat) with ice, was soft and mild. These 2 and a small cinnamon bun: ~12 Pound. We went there, just for a cold coffein kick on a hot walking day. Perfekt choice, because we got what we we're looking for. Restroom was clean and fresh. Interieur is minimalistic, not cosy, but clear. It was quiet, only some nice music in background.
